Driver charged with DWI in crash that badly injured baby
LOCKPORT, N.Y. — New York State Police say a drunk man crashed his car Wednesday night, critically injuring a one-month-old baby inside.

Troopers found a car on its roof at Robinson Road and Old Beattie Road in Lockport around 11 p.m. Wednesday, but no one was inside.

The driver, Thaddeus Nicpon, and his passengers were located at a nearby convenience store.

The baby was taken to Women and Children's Hospital in critical condition.

Nicpon and the two other passengers were taken to nearby hospitals with what troopers called non-life threatening injuries.

Nicpon has been charged with DWI under Leandra's Law, speeding, moving from a lane unsafely and passing a red light.
