BUFFALO, N.Y. — Citizens For A Better Buffalo updated its members Thursday on the group's latest lawsuit against the Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino.

The organization has filed three lawsuits against the Seneca Nation in the past seven years.

Despite losing the previous two cases, the Seneca Nation continue to operate the casino after adopting new ordinances approved by the National Indian Gaming Commission.

This time, the CBB is claiming that the property the casino is constructed on is neither sovereign land nor gaming-eligible.

"We want to make sure that the citizens of Buffalo understand that by putting a casino in one of the poorest areas in the poorest city in the state, you really are taking money out of the hands of the neediest people in our community," said Dianne Bennett, President of Citizens for a Better Buffalo.

A federal judge has yet to rule on the case.
