Lawsuit filed in 2011 bus crash on Interstate 390
NIAGARA COUNTY, N.Y. — Seven people who survived a tour bus crash on route 390 in Steuben County in 2011 have filed lawsuits against the Niagara County company that operated the bus.

According to federal court documents, a lawsuit has been filed against North Tonawanda-based Bedore Tours, blaming driver speed and bus maintenance for the July 2011 crash in the Town of Avoca.

Thirty-six tourists from India were on their way from Washington DC to Niagara Falls when the crash occurred. Two of them died, and 20 more were injured.

Police believe a blown tire was the cause of the crash.
