Located on French Road near Transit, the store employs 68 workers. Those workers will be given the chance to apply for positions at other Kmart and Sears stores in the area.

A company spokesperson says the store is closing because the lease wasn't renewed as part of a cost-cutting move.

The move leaves four Kmart locations in the Buffalo area, plus one in Batavia.
