JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — Dust off your running shoes and get some red hair dye, because the first annual "Lucy Town" Half Marathon and 5K is coming to Jamestown.

The event will take place this fall to raise money for local charities.

Univera, Chautauqua Striders, the Lucy-Desi Center for Comedy and the Jamestown Savings Bank Arena have teamed up to create the event. Festivities will include a comedy show and a sports expo in addition to the 13.1 mile half marathon and the 5K race.

Organizers are now looking for volunteers and will be working to promote the race.

"Once we get done here, we're sending out to 90 running clubs in the area, they are going to be get this and it's going to be on all the national publications and websites as far as the race," said David Reinhardt, Chautauqua Striders.

The event will take place October 12th through the 13th. Click here for more information.
