GETZVILLE, N.Y. — The lieutenant governor helped Citibank celebrate a job creation milestone Friday.
Bob Duffy was at Citibank's Getzville office to announce the company had earned the final installment of the $1.75 million Empire State development grant.
Citibank agreed several years ago to create 650 jobs by 2012 to earn the grant.
"I think it is just one more reinforcement about how talented and how immense the talent is here in Buffalo and Western New York, because they could go anywhere. They could be anywhere they want and they're here," said Duffy, (D).
Citibank officials say they want hire about 175 more employees.
