Boys and Girls Club hosts fundraiser to benefit rebuilding

Boys and Girls Club hosts fundraiser to benefit rebuilding
LANCASTER, NY--The Depew-Lancaster Boys and Girls Club hosted another fundraiser Saturday as efforts to rebuild the group's clubhouse continue.

Hundreds of people came to St. Mary's High school to support the "Honoring our past, building our future" fundraiser.

Proceeds will help the club to finance construction of a new building.

The club was decimated by fire on New Year's Day. Club officials have raised more than one hundred thousand dollars since the fire and said the community has come together to support the organization.

"We're in the villages of both communities and obviously with the support we've got, we're needed and we're going to be here for a while", said Dave Hoch, the club's president.

Hoch said he will know how much the rebuilding process will cost in the coming months.
