Cattaraugus County Legislature sends a message against SAFE Act
LITTLE VALLEY, N.Y. — The Cattaraugus County Legislature has voted to repeal the State's SAFE Act.
The measure to repeal passed unanimously at their meeting Wednesday night with a vote of 20-to-0.
The vote is meant to send a message to Governor Cuomo and state lawmakers that many groups oppose the law.
The SAFE Act was passed in January, and according to the Governor, is one of the toughest gun control laws in the country.
