Former Buffalo teacher arrested again in Illinois
BUFFALO, NY-- A former teacher at South Buffalo Charter School has been arrested again after skipping town while on parole for raping a 15-year-old student. Law enforcement sources say Cara Dickey was arrested Saturday in Chicago for prostitution.

Dickey was first arrested back in 2009 for having a relationship with the student. She received a four year sentence for second degree rape. She was given a conditional release last February from Albion Correctional Facility.

But then officers discovered Dickey may have violated her parole over the holidays by having inappropriate contact with a minor.

Buffalo Police reported she did not register herself as a sex offender.

Officials say Dickey went on the run and cut off her monitoring bracelet.

That's when the US Marshals got involved.

"We sent leads out to Atlanta, Georgia, to Cleveland, Ohio," U.S. Marshal Charles Salina of the Western District of New York told YNN. "We placed her on crime stoppers and immediately began getting tips," he said.

Authorities tracked Dickey down at a Chicago motel after she was released for the Prostitution charge. They also arrested the woman she was with, Candice Brighon. U.S. Marshall's say Brighon had also violated her parole.
