'Opt-Out' forms now at auto bureau
BUFFALO, N.Y. — Pistol permit holders in Erie County will have another option for picking up the new "opt out" form.
County Clerk Chris Jacobs says the form will be available in all county auto bureaus and the pistol permit office as of Tuesday.
The form allows permit holders to "opt out" of having their information be available to the public. It's a provision of the New York SAFE ACT.
Permit holders just need to fill out the form and mail or fax it back to the county clerk's office.
